BUILDING CONSTRUCTION 1
PROJECT 1: EXPERIENCING CONSTRUCTION
The first project of this module is a group work project which we are to form a group of ten people. This project task required us to select and do a site visit at least one or two construction site in order to understand and study more on the construction elements and their construction processes. The construction site that we are required to select has to be medium rise, low rise buildings or buildings with maximum four stories only. This project also required us to do an A3 size report which contains all the construction elements, processes, materials, details and important information and researches.
REFLECTION :
​In this project, in a group of ten members each member is responsible on one construction elements. Therefore, members are required to research and record down all construction processes, materials and details of their respective construction elements by taking down notes and picture during the site visit. Conclusion, I had learned team work and time management throughout this project. Although we are doing our own individual task on our respective construction elements but I had learned that as a group we have to do our best to show good quality of work and complete it within the deadline.
PROJECT 2: CONSTRUCTION DETAILS AND SPECIFICATION
The second project of this module is an individual combine project with Design Studio II. This project required us to do a presentation board on the details of construction elements from the retreat house of Design Studio II. These construction elements include architectural and structural details of my retreat house. This project only allows me to select either timber or steel or both as the materials for the details. I am required to select three architectural or structural details which are roof, superstructure, and joint and connection from my retreat house. These architectural and structural details have to be hand drawn into an A2 size presentation board which includes diagrams, drawings and annotations.

REFLECTION :

In this project, I had mostly learned about the structural and architectural details and the joints and connections of each detail which are suitable to apply in my retreat house design. Besides that, I had also learned how to manage my time in order to complete the project within the given timeframe.
